Professor of Sechenov University presented results of a proof-of-concept study of the test ARNA Breast Cancer
During the XXII Russian Oncological Congress professor of Sechenov Medical University, Head of Personalized Oncology Center “OncoTarget”, Marina Sekacheva, presented the results of a proof-of-concept ARNA Breast Cancer test.
Results of an open controlled monocentric study on 27 blood samples of patients the test have shown the sensitivity of 100% (0 false negatives) and the specificity of 91% (1 false positive out of 11).
Such impressive results of the study, according to experts, are the basis for conducting a blind controlled study and, if such unique high statistical test parameters are confirmed, for registration of the test and its implementation in breast cancer screening practice.
